Woojin Lee, PhD, President and CEO, Co-Founder, DirectorDr. Lee has been a medical device entrepreneur and executive for the past 14 years. Dr. Lee received his PhD in robotics and mechanical engineering from MIT. A co-founder of endoVia Medical, Inc., he led the development of advanced surgical robotic systems for laparoscopic and endoluminal surgery. Dr. Lee is the primary inventor in 22 issued and 71 pending U.S. patents. In addition to his Ph.D., he received his B.S. and his M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from MIT. Phil Henderson, V.P. Operations and COO, DirectorMr Henderson has held senior executive positions at Baxter Healthcare, and was President of Burron Medical Products, Inc. and CEO of Memtek Corporation. He has also been involved in four start-ups serving in roles of CEO, President, founder and board member. He brings broad expertise in growing technology companies. Phil has a BS from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from Harvard Business School Peter W. Jenkins, V.P. Market Development and SalesMr. Jenkins has over 15 years of experience in directing sales and market development efforts for various medical device start ups. Prior to that he held marketing roles at Boston Scientific where he was responsible for product management and market development in international markets. His initial sales experience was gained at Ethicon, a division of Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Jenkins earned his B.A. degree in Sociology from Washington College. Alan Blumner, Ph.D, V.P. FinanceSince 1986 Dr. Blumner has served as President of Goal Management Associates (GMA) which provides management support to professional services firms, technology corporations, and government agencies. Prior to founding GMA, he was Vice President at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York where he served as an Operations Group Financial Controller. Alan has an AB from Cornell and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. Walter A. Winshall, DirectorMr. Winshall is a principal in Collaborative Seed and Growth Partners, LLC, an investment firm specializing in the commercialization of early-stage technology. Previously, he was a co-founder and Chairman of SilverPlatter International, NV, a software company providing information services for libraries, which was acquired by the Dutch publishing company Wolters Kluwer in 2001. He graduated from MIT in electrical engineering and from the Harvard Law School. James Lousararian, DirectorSince 2006, Mr. Lousararian has been CEO of Verax Biomedical. Previously, Mr. Lousararian was the President and CEO, as well as a Director and co-Founder of AngioLink. Prior to founding AngioLink, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of STD Manufacturing Inc. and, before that, was Vice President of Thermo ReTec Corp. Mr. Lousararian received his J.D. from the University of Chicago and his B.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts. Omar Amirana, DirectorDr. Amirana is a Partner at Oxford Bioscience Partners focused on healthcare technology investing. Prior to joining Oxford in 2005, he had served as the Vice President of Business Development at St. Jude Medical and was CEO of Resolution Medical. Dr. Amirana was a co-founder of Cardima and served there for seven years as Vice President of Marketing, Business Development and Chief Technology Officer. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and an M.D. from E. Virginia Medical School. |
